900 Industries specializes in distributing a wide range of fire protection products, including repair kits for Firematic Sprinklers. With decades of experience, we’ve built a reputation for competitive pricing, exceptional service, and long-standing client relationships – some spanning generations.

Our Story Goes Back More Than a Century
The story of 900 Industries begins with George Ichabod Rockwood, a mechanical engineer and Worcester Polytechnic Institute graduate. In 1905, he patented the groundbreaking Rockwood Sprinkler System, an automatic fire suppression technology that gained prominence—especially during World War II—with the development of the life-saving Waterfog nozzle.
Years later, Design Engineer Lawrence McNamara joined Rockwood Sprinkler, specializing in airport fuel tank protection. He went on to found Firematic Sprinkler Devices, Inc. in Worcester, MA, where his son Paul learned the business and its core values: hard work, dedication, and technical excellence. Firematic later moved to Shrewsbury, MA, expanding its manufacturing operations while cultivating a strong company culture.
In 1984, Mary McNamara, Paul’s wife, founded 900 Industries in Leicester, MA to oversee Firematic’s distribution. Under her hands-on leadership, the business grew steadily. As Firematic transitioned away from manufacturing in the early 2000s, 900 Industries rebranded and relocated to Sutton, MA, continuing its mission to deliver high-quality fire protection products backed by outstanding service.
Today, 900 Industries remains a family-owned business, guided by values of integrity, commitment, and professionalism. With nearly 40% of employees having been with the company for a decade or more, 900 Industries honors its century-long legacy while continuing to grow and serve the fire protection industry with distinction.
